Kurixalus motokawai Nguyen, Matsui, and Eto, 2014, Russ. J. Herpetol., 21: 298. Holotype. Adult male VNMN 03458,by original designation. Type locality: "Mang Canh forest (14°4033 N 108°1437 E, 1230 m a.s.l.), Kon Plong District, Kon Tum Province, Central Highlands of Vietnam". 

English Names

Kon Tum Frilled Treefrog (Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 56). 

Distribution

Central Highlands of Vietnam: currently recorded from Kon Plong forest and Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve in Kon Tum Province, and Kon Ka Kinh National Park in K’Bang District, Gia Lai Province, at elevations from 1050 m to 1230 m.

Comment

Most closely related to Kurixalus banaensis and Kurixalus viridescens according to the original publication, a group that these authors referred to the Kurixalus banaensis species group.
