Kurixalus yangi Yu, Hui, Rao, and Yang, 2018, ZooKeys, 770: 216. Holotype: KIZ 14102911, by original designation. None noted. 


Known from western Yunnan, China, from the vicinity of the type locality (Nabang, Yingjiang County, Dehong Autonomous Prefecture), into adjacent northern Myanmar on the border region; reported from Nagaland and Mizoram, northeastern India. 


In the Rhacophorus odontotarsus species group according to the original publication. Humtsoe, Bordoloi, Ohler, and Grosjean, 2020, Russ. J. Herpetol., 27: 257–274, reported on natural history and larval morphology in Nagaland, India. Lalronunga, Vanramliana, Lalramliana, and Lalhmingliani, 2021, Zootaxa, 4974: 385, discussed the record from Mizoram (confirmed with genetic data), and suggested that Kurixalus naso may be a senior synonym.
