Liuixalus catbaensis Nguyen, Matsui, and Yoshikawa, 2014, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 33: 32. Holotype: VNMN 3684, by original designation. Type locality: "Ao Ech (20° 47′ 56″ N, 106° 59′ 52″ E; ca. 45 m a.s.l.) of the Cat Ba National Park, Cat Ba Island, Haiphong City, northern Vietnam." Synonymy, personal communication T. T. Nguyen (18 March 2014).
