Comment

A member of the Batrachoseps pacificus group, most closely related to Batrachoseps pacificus and Batrachoseps major, according to the original publication, which addressed molecular markers, external morphology, osteology, and habitat. Raffaëlli, 2022, Salamanders & Newts of the World: 584, provided an account, summarizing systematics, life history, population status, and distribution (including a polygon map).
