Bolitoglossa bolanosi Arias, Chaves, and Parra-Olea, 2024, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 17: 146. Holotype: UCR 22965, by original designaiton. Distribution

Restricted throughout to ~15 km on the summits of the peaks Dúrika, Arbolado, Hakú, and Utyum on the Cordillera de Talamanca, 2,550–3,240 m elevations; all in páramo and forest within La Amistad International Park, Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

In the Bolitoglossa subpalmata group, the sister taxon of Bolitoglossa pesrubra, according to the original publication where comparative morphology and mtDNA markers were detailed.
