Bolitoglossa conanti McCranie and Wilson, 1993, Herpetologica, 49: 4. Holotype: KU 219840, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada Grande (15° 05′ N, 88° 55′ W), 1370 m elevation, Departamento de Copán, Honduras".

Distribution

Moderate and intermediate elevation (1370 to 2000 m elevation) cloud forest on both versants from northwestern Honduras to extreme northwestern El Salvador; Cortes, Izabal, and Zacapa departments, Guatemala.

In the Bolitoglossa dunni group, according to the original publication. In the Bolitoglossa (Eladinea) dunni group of Parra-Olea, García-París, and Wake, 2004, Biol. J. Linn. Soc., 81: 336. Honduras: 103-106, provided an account and noted (p. 105) that El Salvador specimens likely represent a distinct species. McCranie, 2007, Herpetol.
