Isthmura corrugata Sandoval-Comte, Pineda-Arredondo, Rovito, and Luría-Manzano: 575. Holotype: CARIE 0943 (Colección de Anfibios y Reptiles del Instituto de Ecología, A.C.), by original designation. Type locality: "9 km NW of Coatepec, Veracruz, México (19° 29´N, 97° 02´W), 2,106 m elevation".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality, 9 km northwest of the city of Coatepec in the mountainous region of central Veracruz, Mexico, 2106 m elevation.

Comment

Most closely related to Isthmura boneti and Isthmura maxima according to the original publication. Raffaëlli, 2022, Salamanders & Newts of the World: 644–645, provided an account summarizing systematics, life history, population status, and distribution (including a polygon map).
