Pristimantis bounides Lehr, von May, Moravec, and Cusi, 2017, Zootaxa, 4299: 310. Holotype: MUSM 31197, by original designation. Distribution

Known from two locations in the humid montane forest ecoregion: the type locality in the Tasta valley, "Runda" at 3463 m elevation, and the Satipo-Toldopampa Road at km 134 on left side of road coming from Satipo at 3350 m elevation. (4.2 km [airline] from the type locality), Junín, Peru.
