Pristimantis conservatio Barrio-Amorós, Heinicke, and Hedges, 2013, Zootaxa, 3647: 45. Holotype: CVULA 7174, by original designation. Type locality: "a cloud forest immediately above the hamlet of Los Alcaravanes at Aguas Blancas, 1640 m, 856’ 43’’ N, 7025’ 54’’ W; Ramal de Calderas, Estado Barinas, Venezuela".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (a cloud forest immediately above the hamlet of Los Alcaravanes at Aguas Blancas, 1640 m, Ramal de Calderas, Estado Barinas, Venezuela) on the southeastern slopes of the Paramo El Volcán; expected to be more widespread on the eastern versant of the Cordillera de Mérida.

Previously confused with Pristimantis pleurostriatus according to the original publication.
