Pristimantis turik Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Infante-Rivero, 2008, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 21: 79. Holotype: MBLUZ 155, by original designation. Type locality: "cueva del Agua (galería inferior de la cueva de la Pared Norte), Mesa Turik, municipio Rosario de Perijá, sierra de Perijá, estado Zulia, Venezuela, (10° 24′ N, 72° 42′O; altitud: 1700 m)".
