Comment

Likely the sister species of Eleutherodactylus ganonotus according to the original publication. In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group by Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118, and by Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 128. See statement of geographic range, habitat, and conservation status (as Eleutherodactylus viridis) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 622. Pinto-Erazo and Rada, 2018, Catal. Anf. Rept. Colombia, Medellín, 4: 65–69, provided a detailed review of morphology, systematics, life history, range, conservation, and corrected misidentifications that had led previous authors to consider the species to occur in Caldas, Colombia.
