Known only from the type locality (Park rangers’ station and entrance to Rio Abiseo National Park at Ventanas, Distrito Parcoy, Provincia Pataz, Departamento (Región) La Libertad, Peru, in wet montane grassland covered with mosses at 3820 m elevation.
