Distribution
Known from two localities: the settlements of San Antonio and La Vega, 9–11 km from the road Toledo–Saravena, near the Margua river, in tropical humid forest and riparian zones of the lowlands (400 and 700 m elevation) from the western flank of the Eastern Cordillera, in Tamá National Natural Park and its buffer zone, Department Norte de Santander, Colombia.

Comment
In the Pristimantis conspicillatus group and the sister taxon of Pristimantis gutturalis, according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis conspicillatus group, Pristimantis ramagii clade of Fouquet, Réjaud, Rodrigues, Ron, Chaparro, Osorno-Muñoz, Werneck, Hrbek, Lima, Camacho-Badani, Jaramillo-Martinez, and Chave, 2022, Syst. Biodiversity, 20(1: 2130464): 1–16, who reported on phylogenetics and biogeography.
