Distribution
Known from the type locality, which is located at the northeastern border of the Pui Pui Protected Forest, ca. 18 km (straight airline) northwest of the town of Satipo, Distrito de Pichanaqui, Privincia de Chanchamayo, Región Junín, Peru, 1700 to 1800 m elevation.

Comment
Unassigned to species group in the original publication. Included in the Pristimantis marmoratus clade of the Pristimantis unistrigatus group as delimited by Mônico, Koch, Ferrão, Fernandes, Marques, Chaparro, Rodrigues, Lima, and Fouquet, 2024, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 108203: 1–19, on molecular grounds (2 mtDNA genes and 2 nuDNA genes), who also regarded this taxon as composed of at least two lineages.
