Pristimantis barrigai Brito-M. and Almendáriz C., 2018, Cuad. Herpetol., 32: 32. Holotype: MEPN 12346, by original designation. Type locality: "Paquisha Alto (78°29’22.8”W; 3°53’58.8”S, 2100 m s.n.m.), parroquia Paquisha, cantón Paquisha, provincia de Zamora Chinchipe, República del Ecuador".

Known only from the type locality (Paquisha Alto, cantón Paquisha, provincia de Zamora Chinchipe, Ecuador, in the Sierra del Condor, 2100 m elevation). 


In the Pristimantis ridens group according to the original publication.
