Pristimantis iiap Padial, Gagliardi-Urrutia, Chaparro, and Gutiérrez, 2016, Ann. Carnegie Mus., 83: 207–218. Holotype: MHNC14833, by original designation. Type locality: "Campamento 4 on the Sepahua River, between Quebrada Zungaro and Quebrada Esther, Distrito Sepahua, Provincia Atayala, Departamento Ucayali, Peru (11.07441° S, 72.22856° W) at 415 m above sea level".

Known from Provincias Atayala and Coronel Portillo, Departamento Ucayali, Peru; possibly into adjacent Brazil.

Comment

In the Pristimantis conspicillatus group according to the original publication. Crnobrna, Santa-Cruz Farfan, Gallegos, López-Rojas, Llanqui, Panduro Pisco, and Kelsen Arbaiza, 2023, Check List, 19: 447, provided a record from Coronel Portillo Province, Ucayali Department, central-eastern Peru and discussed the range as well as the possibility that this species may extend into adjacent Brazil.
