Pristimantis petersioides Carrión-Olmedo and Ron, 2021, Evol. Syst., 5: 159. Holotype: QCAZ58939, by original designation. Type locality: "Ecuador, Morona Santiago Province, Sangay National Park, Sardinayacu (2.0983°S, 78.1555°W), 1406 m."

Distribution

Known from six localities in the eastern Andean slopes of central Ecuador (Morona Santiago, Napo, and Pastaza provinces), between 1221 and 2300 m elevation.

Comment

In the Pristimantis lacrimosus group according to the original publication, which addressed advertisement call, morphology, and molecular phylogenetics, and the previous confusion with Pristimantis petersi.
