Hypsiboas cambui Pinheiro, Pezzuti, Leite, Garcia, Haddad, and Faivovich, 2016, Herpetologica, 72: 257. Holotype: CFBH 39397, by original designation. Type locality: "Brazil: State of Minas Gerais: Município de Rio Preto: Vilarejo do Funil (22°0′19″S, 43°53′20″W, 905 m above sea level; datum WGS84)".

Distribution
Known only from the type locality in the Serra da Mantiqueira, Minas Gerais, Brail. 905 m elevation.
Comment
In the Hypsiboas pulchellus group according to the original publication, where external adult and larval morphology as well as the advertisement call were described.
