Distribution

Atlantic forest of the coastal region from the municipality of Jaqueira in eastern Pernambuco south into northeastern Alagoas; also reported from Itanagra south to Camacan in Bahia, Brazil. 

Comment

In the Hyla boans group according to the original publication, most similar to Hyla lundii and Hyla pardalis. In the Hypsiboas faber group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 87. Silva, Luna-Dias, Carvalho-e-Silva, and Carvalho-e-Silva, 2008 "2007", Herpetotropicos, Mérida, 4: 48, provided the first record for Alagoas, Brazil, and Bourgeois, 2010, Check List, 6: 626-627, provided a second and mapped the range. Santos and Santos, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 375, provided a record for Pernambuco, Brazil. Freitas, Abegg, Dias, and Moraes, 2018, Herpetol. Notes, 11: 59–72, provided a record from the Serra da Jibóia, Bahia, Brazil. Dubeux, Silva, Nascimento, Gonçalves, and Mott, 2019, Rev. Nordestina Zool., 12: 18–52, noted that the larva remains undescribed. Protázio and Protázio, 2020, Herpetol.
