Hyla colymba Dunn, 1931, Occas. Pap. Boston Soc. Nat. Hist., 5: 400. Holotype: MCZ 10234, by original designation. Type locality: "La Loma (or Buenavista) on trail from Chiriqui Lagoon to Boquete, about 1500 feet altitude", Provincia Bocas del Toro, Panama.

Hyla alvaradoi Taylor, 1952, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 35: 882. Holotype: KU 30886, by original designation. Type locality: "Moravia, [Cantón de Turrialba, Cartago Province,] Costa Rica (on the Caribbean Slope)". Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 98, commented on the type locality. Distribution

Caribbean slopes of Costa Rica and western Panama and Pacific slopes of central and eastern Panama, and northwestern Colombia (Antioquia south to Valle de Cauca), sea level to 1410 m elevation.
