Distribution

Subpáramo habitats in the Mérida Andes, 1200-2400 m elevation, through Táchira and Mérida states, Venezuela. See comment.

 Guarnizo, Escallón, Cannatella, and Amézquita, 2012, Herpetologica, 68: 523, suggested that this is likely a synonym of Dendropsophus meridensis, but refrained from making the synonymy pending study of calls and additional molecular data. In the Dendropsophus labialis group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull.
