Distribution

Western Foothill Forest below 1300 m elevation and the Chocó Tropical Rainforest in NW Ecuador (Esmeraldas and Pichincha provinces) and SW Colombia (Nariño Department).

Comment

Previously confused with Dendropsophus ebraccatus, but demonstrably more closely related to Dendropsophus gryllatus, according to the original publication, where comparative adult and larval morphology, molecular markers, and advertisement call were detailed.
