Comment

External morphology, advertisement call, and molecular markers detailed in the original publication, where it was placed in the Dendropsophus decipiens group, morphologically most resembling Dendropsophus haddadi but genetically more closely related to Dendropsophus oliveirai. Not addressed in the study of Whitcher, Orrico, Ron, Lyra, Cassini, Ferreira, Nakamura, Peloso, Rada, Rivera-Correa, Sturaro, Valdujo, Haddad, Grant, Faivovich, Lemmon, and Lemmon, 2025, Mol.
