Distribution
Restricted to the cloud forest in the immediate vicinity of the type locality in the central portion of the Sierra Madre del Sur of Guerrero, Mexico, 1975 to 2185 m elevation.
Comment
Previously confused with, and closely related to, Sarchohyla thorectes, according to the original publication.
