Osteocephalus subtilis Martins and Cardoso, 1987, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 47: 556. Holotype: MZUSP 60561, by original designation. Type locality: "Igarapé Brasília, Município de Cruzeiro do Sul (7° 37′ S, 72° 42′ W; 190 m de altitude), Estado do Acre, Brasil".

English Names

Brazilian Slender-legged Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 61).


Known from the vicinity of the type locality in the Estado do Acre and in western Amazonas adjacent to the Peruvian border and not far from Colombia, in both of which it is expected.


De la Riva, Köhler, Lötters, and Reichle, 2000, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 14: 57, and Köhler, 2000, Bonn. Zool.
