Comment

This taxon was named in Megophrys in the same paper where (arguably) the species was being transferred to Panophrys. In the Megophrys parva group of Fei, Ye, Huang, Jiang, and Xie, 2005, in Fei et al. (eds.), Illust. Key Chinese Amph.: 82. Yang, 2008, in Yang and Rao (ed.), Amph. Rept. Yunnan: 28-29, provided a brief account for Yunnan, China. Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 2: 455-457, provided an account for China and spot map. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 216, provided an account, photographs, and a range map for China. Le, Pham, Nguyen, Ziegler, and Nguyen, 2015, Asian Herpetol. Res., 6:  66–72, provided records for Vietnam. Fei and Ye, 2016, Amph. China, 1: 686–688, provided an account, photogrphs, and dot map for China, as Xenophrys daweimontis. Luong, Nguyen, Pham, and Nguyen, 2018, Proc. 3rd Natl. Sci. Conf. Biol. Res. Teaching Vietnam: 284–290, provided a record for Ha Giang Province, Vietnam, and commented on morphology and habitat.
