Lechriodus platyceps Parker, 1940, Novit. Zool., 42: 28. Holotype: BMNH, by original designation; reregistered as 1947. 2.18.63 according to museum records. Type locality: "Arfak, Dutch New Guinea", Irian Jaya, Indonesia.

English Names

Arfak Cannibal Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 94).


Mountains of western and central New Guinea, west of approximately 140°, including the Bird's Head.
