Distribution
Forested regions from Mount Nimba eastwards of Uganda at moderate to high elevations.
Comment
Pickersgill, 2007, Frog Search: 134-135, suggested that he would not get involved in the controversy of whether Ptychadena hylaea is conspecific with Ptychadena mascareniensis, but recognized the species and provided an account.
