Gegeneophis orientalis Agarwal, Wilkinson, Mohapatra, Dutta, Giri, and Gower, 2013, Zootaxa, 3696: 536. Holotype. BNHS 5413, by original designation. Type locality: "near Beespuram, Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh, India (18.27 N, 82.98 E; ca. 1,170 m a.s.l.)".
