Brachycephalus guarani Clemente-Carvalho, Giaretta, Condez, Haddad, and Reis, 2012, Herpetologica, 68: 367. Holotype: CFBH 27233, by original designation. Type locality: "Morro Prumirim, municipality of Ubatuba, São Paulo, southeastern Brazil, approximately 922 m above sea level (23°20′48″S, 45°01′36″W, datum 1/4 SAD69)".
