Distribution

Expected to be found more widely but currently confirmed only from three widely separated localities in Angola from near sea level to > 1400 m elevation: (1) Kissama National Park, on the outskirts of Luanda, coastal Luanda Province; (2) Bié Province, central Angola; and (3) Moxico Province in the east-central part of the country.

Comment

In the Breviceps mossambicus group, previously confused with Breviceps adspersus according to the original publication, where not only the morphology was described, but also the advertisement call. Conradie, Keates, Verburgt, Baptista, and Harvey, 2023, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 17: 27–28, provided an account and dot map of the species in Angola.
