In a small area (about 6 square km) in Dixie Valley, Churchill County, Nevada, USA.

Comment

In the Anaxyrus boreas complex according to the original publication. Given that including this species in Bufo requires putting a bunch of Asian and African genera into Bufo as well requires its treatment as member of the genus Anaxyrus (DRF). Forrest, Stiller, King, and Rouse, 2019, W. North Am. Nat., 77: 162–175, discussed the relationships of this toad with nearby populations nominally assigned to Anaxyrus boreas.
