Comment
See Dring, 1979, Bull. Brit. Mus. (Nat. Hist.), Zool., 34: 181-244, for discussion of populations; see also Berry, 1975, Amph. Fauna Peninsular Malaysia: 43. See brief account by Manthey and Grossmann, 1997, Amph. Rept. Südostasiens: 30. Nutphund, 2001, Amph. Thailand: 74, provided a brief characterization, but unfortunately pictured a juvenile Bufo parvus as of this species, according to Ohler, 2003, Alytes, 21: 101. Chan-ard, 2003, Photograph. Guide Amph. Thailand: 88-89, provided a very brief account, map for Thailand, and photograph. See comments regarding distribution by Matsui, Khonsue, and Nabhitabhata, 2005, Zool. Sci., Tokyo, 22: 813. Wood, Grismer, Ahmad, and Senawi, 2008, Herpetologica, 64: 321-340, provided comparative information for this and other species from the Malayan Peninsula. Sumarli, Grismer, Anuar, Muin, and Quah, 2015, Check List, 11(4, Art. 1679): 6, suspected that a record of Ansonia malayana from Mount Tebu probably applies to Ansonia latifi.
