Comment

Although placed into the synonymy of Amietophrynus (now Sclerophrys) arabicus on the basis of overall similarity by Schätti and Desvoignes, 1999, Herpetofauna S. Yemen and Sokotra: 31, this was disputed by Portik and Papenfuss, 2015, BMC Evol. Biol., 15 (152): 11, who tentatively considered it distinct. See account (as Bufo hadramautinus), byBalletto, Cherchi, and Gasperetti, 1985, Fauna Saudi Arabia, 7: 355-358.
