Bufo reesi Poynton, 1977, Ann. Natal Mus., 23: 37. Holotype: BMNH 1969.1520, by original designation. Type locality: "Merera, Tanzania, 36° 02′ E 8° 33′ S, .... Kihanzi-Kilombero floodplain, at an altitude between 200 and 500 m".
