Anomaloglossus apiau Fouquet, Marques-Souza, Nunes, Kok, Curcio, Carvalho, Grant, and Rodrigues, 2015, Zootaxa, 3926: 200. Holotype: MZUSP 155833, by original designation. Type locality: "at ~580 m at Serra do Apiaú, Roraima State, Brazil (2.430168 N, 61.411715 W)".

Distribution

Along high-gradient rocky streams, on the slopes of Serra de Apiaú above 500 m elevation and up to the summit at ~1400 m and from the Serra da Mocidade,  Roraima state, Brazil.

Comment

The original publication reported on the endangerment of this species and the advertisement call. In the Anomaloglossus stepheni group of Vacher, Kok, Rodrigues, Lima, Lorenzini, Martinez, Fallet, Courtois, Blanc, Gaucher, Dewynter, Jairam, Ouboter, Thébaud, and Fouquet, 2017, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 112: 158–173. Moraes, Almeida, Fraga, Rojas-Zamora, Pirani, Silva, Carvalho, Gordo, and Werneck, 2017, ZooKeys, 715: 103–159, reported and discussed this species from the Serra da Mocidade, state of Roraima, northern Brazil.
