Larval morphology described by Carvalho-e-Silva, Gomes, and Peixoto, 1995, Rev. Brasil. Hist., 294: 95. Tadpoles compared to those of other members of the Scinax catharinae group by Conte, Nomura, Rossa-Feres, d'Heursel, and Haddad, 2007, Amphibia-Reptilia, 28: 177–192.
