Advertisement call described by Ron, Cannatella, and Coloma, 2004, Herpetologica, 60: 261–275. Armijos-Ojeda, Székely, Székely, Cogǎlniceanu, Cisneros-Heredia, Ordóñez-Delgado, Escudero, and Espinosa, 2021, ZooKeys, 1063: 38, provided a dot map including records from Peru. Nascimento, de Sá, and Garcia, 2022, J. Morphol., 283: 1299–1317, reported on larval external, oral and skeletal morphology.
