Pseudopaludicola murundu Toledo, Siqueira, Duarte, Veiga-Menoncello, Recco-Pimentel, and Haddad, 2010, Zootaxa, 2496: 40. Holotype: CFBH 8241, by original designation. Type locality: "a temporary pond in the 'Sítio do Carlão', district of Itapé, Municipality of Rio Claro, state of São Paulo, southeastern Brazil (22°20′41.57″S; 47°40′1.52″W; approximately 600 m above sea level)".

Pseudopaludicola serrana Toledo, 2010, Zootaxa, 2681: 48. Holotype: ZUEC16442, by original designation. Type locality: "temporary pond in the Condomínio Retiro das Pedras (private area), Serra da Moeda, municipality of Brumadinho, state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil (20° 06′ 06.7″S and 43° 59′ 20.8″W; approximately 1.450 m above sea level)". Synonymy suggested by Veiga-Menoncello, Lourenço, Strüssmann, Rossa-Feres, Andrade, Giaretta, and Recco-Pimentel, 2014, Zool. Scripta, 43: 269, and confirmed by Pansonato, Mudrek, Simioni, Martins, and Strüssmann, 2014, Adv. Zool., 2014(Art. 563165): 1.

Known  from the type locality in the Municipality of Rio Claro, state of São Paulo, and from the municipalities of Brumadinho, Buritis, Buritizeiro,  São Roque de Minas, and  Poços de Caldas, and São João del Rei, all above 1,000 m elevation, state of Minas Gerais, and the municipalities of Alto Paraíso de Goiás and Teresina de Goiás, Goiás, Brazil.

Most closely related to Pseudopaludicola saltica according to the original publication. Pseudopaludicola serrana was named within the Pseudopaludicola falcipes group, most similar to Pseudopaludicola saltica and Pseudopaludicola murundu, according to the original publication.Toledo, 2010, Zootaxa, 2715: 68, corrected the title of the original publication of Pseudopaludicola serrana.  Pansonato, Mudrek, Simioni, Martins, and Strüssmann, 2014, Adv.
