Comment

Pyron and Wiens, 2011, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 61: 543-583, did not study this taxon and regarded its placement as questionable. Fouquet, Blotto, Maronna, Verdade, Juncá, de Sá, and Rodrigues, 2013, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 67: 445–457, transferred Crossodactylodes into Paratelmatobiinae of Leptodactylidae. Santos, Magalhães, Ferreira, Vittorazzi, Dias, Leite, Lourenço, Santos, Haddad, and Garcia, 2020, Herpetol. Monogr., 34: 1–38, revised the taxon, provided a phylogenetic hypotheses, provided accounts summarizing the literature, a key to the species, and noted several unnamed species.
