Confined to the Brindabella Range of the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales, Australia, 960-1520 m elevation.

Comment

In the Pseudophryne corroboree complex, according to the original publication. Status as distinct from Pseudophryne corroboree confirmed by Osborne, Zentelis, and Lau, 1996, Aust. J. Zool., 44: 569–587. Morgan, Hunter, Pietsch, Osborne, and Keogh, 2008, Mol. Ecol., 17: 3448–3463, reported the populations of the Fiery Range, Southern Brindabella Range, and Northern Brindabella Range to be genetically distinct lineages.
