Uperoleia micra Doughty and Roberts, 2008, Zootaxa, 1939: 12. Holotype: WAMR168043, by original designation. Type locality: "near Bachsten Creek near the southwest corner of the Prince Regent River Nature Reserve, Western Australia (15º59′ 29″S; 125º19′ 54″E)".

High rainfall areas of the northwest Kimberley region, Western Australia, from Prince Regent River south to Walcott Inlet and on Katers Island and Boongaree Island.
