Nasikabatrachus bhupathi Janani, Vasudevan, Prendini, Dutta, and Aggarwal, 2017, Alytes, 34: 7. Holotype: ZSIA 14153, by original designation. Type locality: "a stream flowing through a farm outside the Watrap Range of the Srivilliputhur Grizzled Giant Squirrel Sanctuary, at 200 m a.s.l.", Tamil Nadu, South India. 

English Names

Purvi Pig-nosed Frog (Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Deepak, and Kulkarni, 2023, Fauna India Checklist, vers. 5.0 : 8).

Distribution

Known from three localities on the eastern slope of the Western Ghats, all in the state of Tamil Nadu, India: 1) type locality; 2) Sankaran Kudi, and 3) Karean shola in the Anamalais.
