Hyla angiana Boulenger, 1915, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 8, 16: 402. Syntypes: BMNH 1947.2.24.6 (formerly 1915.9.10.15) and 1947.2.30.95–98 (formerly 1915.9.10.11–14) according to Condit, 1964, J. Ohio Herpetol. Soc., 4: 88. Type locality: "Angi Lakes (6000 feet) in the Arfak Mountains,...Mt. Koebré (8000 feet) in the same mountains", Vogelkop Peninsula, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.

Hyla angularis Loveridge, 1945, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 58: 54. Holotype: MCZ 25891, by original designation. Type locality: "Mount Wilhelm, 5000–8000 feet, Bismarck Range, Madang Division, New Guinea". Synonymy by Tyler, 1968, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 96: 33.

Hyla mintima Tyler, 1963, Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust., 86: 123. Holotype: SAMA R4151, by original designation. Type locality: "Mintima (lat. 5° 57′ S., long. 144° 54′ E.), Chimbu Region, at 6,000 ft.", Central Highlands, New Guinea. Synonymy by Tyler, 1968, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 96: 33.
