Distribution

Southern Malawi and highlands of Tanzania, possibly into Mozambique.

Comment

Wilkinson and Nussbaum, 2006, In Exbrayat (ed.), Reprod. Biol. Phylog. Gymnophiona: 39-78 [57], diagnosed the taxon and implied that monophyly with respect to Crotaphatrema is undocumented. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 32–33, provided brief accounts, photographs, and range maps for the species.
