Formas and Vera, 1980, J. Herpetol., 14: 11–14, reported (as Eupsophus vittatus) on advertisement call, larval morphology, and reproductive behavior and ecology. Transferred to Alsodes by Formas, 1989, Bol. Soc. Biol. Concepción, 60: 123-127, who distinguished it from Eupsophus vertebralis.
