I attempt to summarize here what work I have done on ASW starting 1 January 2024. This log does not include error corrections and the like and I cannot promise that there will not be errors of omission or commission inasmuch as this log is not constructed automatically.

26 February 2024: Added Raorchestes hekouensis (Rhacophoridae), named by Du, Xu, Liu, and Yu, 2024, ZooKeys, 1192: 213–235, from Liangzi, Hekou, Yunnan, China, 1200 m elevation.

26 February 2024: Added Leptobrachella guinanensis (Megophryidae), named by Chen, Li, Peng, and Liu in Chen, Li, Zhang, Liu, and Huang, 2024, ZooKeys, 1192: 257–279, from Shiwandashan National Nature Reserve, Shangsi County, Guangxi, China.

26 February 2024: Added a comment under Ommatotriton nesterovi (Salamandridae), noting the publication of Altunışık and Altunişik, 2023, Biol. Bull., 50: 476–478, who discussed the range and provided the easternmost record from Samsun, Türkiye.

23 February 2024: Added a comment under Hyalinobatrachium tatayoi (Centrolenidae), noting the publication of Rojas-Montoya, López-Aguirre, González-Acosta, and Vargas-Salinas, 2024, Rev. Latinoam. Herpetol., 7: 60–82, who reported on advertisement, courtship, distress, and agonistic calls). 

21 February 2024: Placed Vitreorana uranoscopa into the synonymy of Vitreorana parvula (Centrolenidae), following Zucchetti and Castroviejo-Fisher, 2024, Zootaxa, 5415:: 351–391, who reported on molecular markers, comparative morphology, and advertisement calls to support this synonymy. 

20 February 2024: Added Odorrana leishanensis (Ranidae), named by Li, Chen, Su, Liu, Tang, and Wang, 2024, ZooKeys, 1192: 57–82, from Leigongshan Nature Reserve (26.3833°N, 108.1967°E; elevation 1830 m a.s.l.), Leishan County, Guizhou Province, China. 

20 February 2024: Added Zhangixalus yunnanensis (Rhacophoridae), named by Pan, Hou, Yu, and Liu, 2024, Zoosyst. Evol., 100: 183–197, from Mopan Mountain, Xinping County, Yunnan Province, China. 

15 February 2024: Added Atelopus calima (Bufonidae), named by Velásquez-Trujillo, Castro-Herrera, Lötters, and Plewnia, 2024, Salamandra, 60: 67–81, from "Colombia, Departamento del Valle del Cauca, Municipio de Yotoco, ca. km 18 on Buga–Buenaventura road, Bosque Reserva Forestal Yotoco (approximately 3°52’ N, 76°25’ W), 1530 m a.s.l."

15 February 2024: Added a comment under Nyctixalus margaritifer (Rhacophoridae), noting the publication of Ibnudarda, Farajallah, Perwitasari, Hamidy, Prihatini, and Darmawan, 2024, Zootaxa, 5410: 297–300, who reported on the advertisement call and reciprocal calling of the sexes. 

10 February 2024: Added Pristimantis paulogabrieli (Strabomantidae), named by Melo-Sampaio, 2024, J. Vert. Biol., Prague, 72(23044): 1–19, from the state of Acre, Brazil.

9 February 2024: Rhinella scitula (Bufonidae) placed into the synonymy of Rhinella stanlaii, following Fouquet, Ferrão, Rodrigues, Werneck, Prates, Moraes, Hrbek, Chaparro, Lima, Perez, Pansonato, Carvalho, Almeida, Gordo, Farias, Milto, Roberto, Rojas-Zamora, Ron, Guerra Batista, Recoder, Camacho, Mamani, Rainha, and Ávila, 2024, Syst. Biodiversity, 22 (1, 2291086): Appendix 2. In addition, a large number of comments were added to the accounts of the members of the Rhinella margaritifera group, noting cryptic and not-so-cryptic unnamed species. 

7 February 2024: Added Scinax ushiniauae (Hylidae), named by Gagliardi-Urrutia, Araujo-Vieira, Padial, Simões, Faivovich, and Castroviejo-Fisher, 2024, Zootaxa, 5406: 410–420, from the Province of Requena, Department of Loreto, Peru. 

3 February 2024: Added a comment under Salamandra lanza (Salamandridae), noting the publication of Giuliano, Seglie, Bergò, Cavalcante, Favelli, Gigio, Bloc, Gaggino, Massara, Pucci, Rastelli, Miaud, and Rizzioli, 2024, Herpetol. J., 45: 35–47, who investigated predictive range models for the species and estimated the time of its extinction. 

3 February 2024: Added a comment under Nyctixalus margaritifer (Rhacophoridae), noting the publication of Hanifa, Septiadi, Hasyim, Fathoni, Prabasari, Erfanda, Rahmadana, Widjanarko, and Kurniawan, 2023, Check List, 19: 971–982, who provided new records from central and eastern Java and also discussed morphological variation.

2 February 2024: Partitioned nominal Litoria ewingii (Hylidae) into Litoria calliscelis (resurrected) and Litoria sibilus (new species) and a newly delimited Litoria ewingii, following Parkin, Rowley, Elliott-Tate, Mahony, Sumner, Melville, and Donnellan, 2024, Zootaxa, 5406: 1-37. 

1 February 2024: Added a comment under Microhyla eos (Microhylidae), noting the publication of  Gupta, Dutta, Roy, and Ahmed, 2024, Herpetol. Notes, 17: 43–48, who reported on breeding behavior and advertisement call.

24 January 2024: Added comments under Hyperolius nitidulus (Hyperoliidae) and Ptychadena bibroni (Ptychadenidae), noting the publication of Ayoro, Nicolas, Segniagbeto, Hema, Ohler, and Kabré, 2023, Afr. Soc., Kolkata, 65: 115–118, who provided, pictured, and discussed a record, the first from India, from Nayagram (22°03’ 22N, 87°09’ 07E) in Jhargram District, West Bengal, India. 

23 January 2024: Modified the range statement and added a comment under Scinax altae (Hylidae), noting the publication of Barrio-Amorós, Forero-Cano, Stuster, Batista, Canzoneri, and Arias, 2023, Anartia, Zulia, 37: 34–46, who provided genetically-confirmed records for southern Costa Rica, a dot map of the species, and also provided the advertisement call from Panama.

13 January 2024: Added Leptobrachella dushanensis (Megophryidae), named by Li, Li, Cheng, Liu, Wei, Wang in Li, Wei, Cheng, Liu, Wei, and Wang, 2024, Biodiversity Data J., 12(e113427): 1–35, from Dushan County, Guizhou Province, China. They also provided a RAG1 tree of the Leptobrachella species. 

13 January 2024: Added comments under Limnonectes hascheanus and Limnonectes limborgi (Dicroglossidae), noting the paper by Zou, Anuar, Low, Hong, Grismer, and Quah, 2024, Zootaxa, 5399: 163–171, who reported on advertisement calls and comparative morphology from the type locality of Limnonectes hascheanus (Penang Island) and other locations on Peninsular Malaysia (Fraser's Hill and Genting Highlands), resulting in the tentative assignment of the mainland populations (Fraser's Hill and Genting Highlands) to Limnonectes limborgi.
