Eupsophus altor Nuñez, Rabanal, and Formas, 2012, Zootaxa, 3305: 58. Holotype: IZUA 3607, by original designation. Type locality: "Cerro Oncol (39° 41′ S; 73° 19′ W, 650 m a.s.l.), Coastal range, Valdivia Province, 40 km W (by road) of Valdivia city, Chile".

Western slope of the Coastal range, between Mehuín and Los Molinos, Región de Los Ríos, Valdivia Province, Chile.
