Leptodactylodon erythrogaster Amiet, 1971 "1970", Ann. Fac. Sci. Cameroun, 5: 67. Holotype: MHNG 2031.11 (formerly JLA 70.920) according to Amiet, 1985, in Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 23, and Schätti, Perret, and Mariaux, 2002, Cat. Comm. Types Amph. Rept. Mus. Hist. Nat. Geneve, Vers. 4.0 (Jan. 2002): 12. Type locality: "Nsoung, [south side of] Mt Manengouba, récolté a 1.700 m", Cameroon.
