I attempt to summarize here what work I have done on ASW starting 1 January 2026. This log does not include error corrections and the like and I cannot promise that there will not be errors of omission or commission inasmuch as this log is not constructed automatically.

4 June 2026: Added a comment under Hynobius unisacculus (Hynobiidae), noting the publication of Jeong, Suk, Song, Lee, Cho, and Min, 2026, Conserv. Genetics, 27(70): 1–16, who reported on mitochondrial phylogeography.    

3 June 2026: Following the remarkable review of the systematics of the Mantidactylus subgenera Chonomantis and Ochthomantis by Vences, Köhler, Mitze, Petzold, Preick, Raselimanana, Rakotoarison, Riemann, Rödel, Wastyn, Scherz, and Glaw, 2026, Spixiana, München, 48: 221–302, Mantidactylus charlotteae was placed into the synonymy of Mantidactylus (Ochthomantis) albofrenatus, and nine new Madagascan species were named: Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) charlotteianus, Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) chonodus, Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) di­chromus, Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) kitrinolaimus, Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) maharira, Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) malokila, Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) temachikus, Mantidactylus (Chonomantis) ventrilineatus, and Mantidactylus (Ochthomantis. rabibisoai. 

2 June 2026: Placed Cryptothylax minutus into the synonymy of Cryptothylax greshoffi (Hyperoliidae), following Nečas, Masudi, Badjedjea, and Gvoždík, 2026, Zootaxa, 5821: 5821. 

31 May 2026: Added a comment under Mantophryne (Microhylidae), noting the publication of Morris, Kraus, Deepak, Pal, and Richards, 2026, Ecol. Evol., 16(e73291): 1–13, who reported on the mtDNA phylogenetics, which suggested a number of unnamed species, and biogeography. 

31 May 2026: Added Theloderma crypticus (Rhacophoridae), Amolops anu and Amolops peace (Ranidae), all named from the Mount Gaoligong region of Yunnan, China, by Yu, Wu, Wang, and Che in Che and Yu, 2026, Amph. Mt. Gaoligong.

27 May 2026: Added Duttaphrynus dhara (Bufonidae), named by Warjri, Das, Amarasinghe, and Purkayastha, 2026, Taprobanica, 15: 63–73, from Mawphlang, East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, India.

26 May 2026: Modified the range statement and added a comment noting the publication of Sánchez-Nivicela, Moya-Mejía, Calderón, and Carrión-Olmedo, 2026, Rev. Latinoam. Herpetol., 9: 417–428, who provided a new record from Santa Teresita, cantón El Pan, Azuay Province, Ecuador, in the same mountain range as the type locality. They also provided the advertisement call, and molecular (12S and 16S mtDNA) evidence placing the species firmly in the Hyloscirtus larinopygion group.

7 May 2026: Added a comment with Hylarana subcoerulea in the synonymy of Hylarana macrodactyla (Ranidae), noting the publication of Nguyen, Poyarkov, Tran, Kennedy-Gold, and Ohler, 2026, Zootaxa, 5802: 395–400, who noted that the syntypes represent more than one species and designated MCZ A-1589 lectotype (the other syntype being conspecific with Hylarana tytleri), thereby leaving this taxon in the synonymy of Hylarana macrodactyla pending additional research.

20 April 2026: Added a comment under Pseudacris regilla (Hylidae), noting the publication of Jadin, Adams, Isaac, Korth, and Cloud, 2026, Check List, 22: 193–198, 2ho reported a genetically confirmed record of nominal Pseudacris sierra from southeastern British Columbia, Canada. Currently P. sierra is treated as a subspecies in ASW, but DRF suspects strongly that denser sampling in central California will support a 3-species model.
